Coon Rapids - Douglas Anton, 55, died Monday, November 20, 2000 at Park River Health Care Center in Coon Rapids.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 25 at Park River Health Care Center Chapel with Rev. Richard Erickson officiating. Douglas' twin, Dwight, read the scripture, and special music was provided by his nephew and nieces, Mike and Glenndy Sculley and Susy Courneya.
Douglas Richard Anton was born on November 27, 1944 in Thief River Falls, the son of Nis and Irene Anton. He grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls.
Survivors include three brothers, Nis (Linda) of Rapid City, S.D., David (Alice) of Burnsville and Dwight (Genelle) of Lakeville; three sisters, Audrey Thomas of Bloomington, Margery (James) Hruby of Rapid City, S.D. and Patricia (Glenn) Ose of Coon Rapids; a sister-in-law; an uncle and several aunts; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Calvin and Laurel; a sister-in-law; and a brother-in-law. A00003B2000NV29
