Thief
River Falls - Milla Anderson, 93, died Monday,
June 11, 2001 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief
River Falls.
Funeral
services will be held at 2
p.m.
on Thursday, June 14, at Calvary Lutheran Church in
St. Hilaire with Rev. Terri Cuppett officiating.
Ida Nordvall will be the organist, and the soloist
will be Van Swanson. Casketbearers will be Jeff
Martin, Mike Lavold, Alan Christensen, Paul Martin,
Brad Lavold, Craig Christensen, Todd Parkman, Eric
Lavold and Joel Hallstrom. Burial will be in
Community Cemetery in River Falls township of
Pennington county.
Visitation
will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer
service today (Wednesday, June 13) at Green Funeral
Home Chapel in Thief River Falls. Visitation will
also be held for one hour prior to Thursday's
services at the church.
Milla
Fosholm was born on September 5, 1907 at Holt, the
daughter of Hans and Karoline (Helseth) Fosholm.
She attended school and grew up in the Holt area
and was baptized and confirmed at Nazareth Lutheran
Church.
On
December 24, 1931, Milla was united in marriage to
Paul J. Anderson at Holt. The couple farmed at
Wylie and Red Lake Falls until Paul's death in
1982. Milla remained on the farm with her son until
1995 when she moved to Summerfield Place in Thief
River Falls where she resided for two years. In
1997, she moved to Valley Home and recently became
a resident of Oakland Park Nursing Home.
Milla
was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of St.
Hilaire where she was active in the Ladies
Aid.
She
enjoyed flower gardening, music and especially
spending time with her children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, remaining very interested in
their activities over the years.
Milla
is survived by a son, Ronald (Virginia) Anderson of
Thief River Falls; three daughters, Marilyn (Dale)
Christensen of Lodi, Wisc., Carol (Jack) Lavold of
Cottage Grove and Yvonne (Tim) Martin of Hope,
N.D.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two
step grandchildren; a step great-grandchild; a
sister, Christine Ness of Oakland Park Nursing
Home; and several nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four
sisters, Inanda Monson, Clara Heieren, Gylia
Christopherson and Amanda Fosholm; and three
brothers, Ingval, Henry and Oscar Fosholm.
