McIntosh
- Margaret Johnson Anderson, 80, died on
Monday, May 12, 2003, at Innovis Hospital in Fargo,
N.D.
Memorial
services were held on Saturday, May 17 at Our
Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev.
Elton Jorde officiating. Interment was in St.
Luke's Cemetery in McIntosh.
Margaret
was born on October 24, 1922, the daughter of Erick
and Mabel Erickson in Unity, Saskatchewan. The
family returned to McIntosh when Margaret was an
infant, and she lived there her whole life.
On June
28, 1941, Margaret was united in marriage to Ernest
Johnson of McIntosh. The couple had six children.
She worked in the McIntosh bakery and, later, for
the McIntosh Manor and Valley Home in Thief River
Falls. Ernest died in 1983.
On
October 6, 1984, Margaret married Lyle Anderson.
Lyle died in 1989.
Survivors
include her brothers, Allen and Kenny; her sister,
Alice; sons, Maynard (Sue) of Dayton, Ohio, and
Alan (Susan) of Seattle, Wash.; daughters, Marian
(Mike) Vanderhoof of Shell Knob, Mo., Rita (Carl)
Schmidtmann of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Patricia
(Manny) Perez of Kent, Wash.; seven grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; and several
cousins.
Margaret
was preceded in death by her parents; brothers,
Waldo and Gordon; an infant daughter, Mary
Margaret; and a grandson.
