John Anderson, 86

Badger - John Anderson, 86, died Thursday, April 12, 2001 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 16, at Gieseke Funeral Chapel in Greenbush with Rev. Alvin Sather officiating. Music was presented by Jeanne Novacek, Jill Dion and Courtney Fleming. Casketbearers were his grandchildren, Brett Dole, Karen Dole, Missy Krzoska, Frank Krzoska, Patti Robinson, Paul Robinson and Laura Melby. Interment was in in the Swedish Cemetery in Badger.

John Richard Anderson was born on February 7, 1915 in Moose township of Roseau county near Badger, the son of John Malcolm and Anna Mathilda (Kindberg) Anderson. He grew up at Badger and attended school there.

On July 3, 1943, John married Mildred Snare at Badger. He farmed at Badger until the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two daughters-in-law, Marilyn Anderson of Thief River Falls and Becky (Harvey) Melby of Badger; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gary and Rick Anderson; a brother, Alf in infancy; and a sister, Lillie Carlson. A00003B2000AP18
