Anna M. Anderson, 78

Grafton, N.D. - Anna M. Anderson, 78, of Grafton, N.D. and formerly of rural Stephen, died on Monday, February 9, 2004 at Unity Hospital in Grafton, N.D.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m., at Drayton Lutheran Church in Drayton, N.D., with Rev. Ben Carlson officiating. Casket bearers included Luther Anderson, Brian Anderson, Michael Jensen, Gary Jensen, Michael Larson and Ralph Craig. Interment was held at Skjeberg Cemetery in rural Drayton.

Anna Mae Rose Guest was born on March 30, 1925 in Ellsworth, Wis., the daughter of Grant and Catherine (Wagner) Guest. She grew up on the family farm and attended Trimbelle Grade School and Ellsworth High School in Ellsworth, Wis. Anna met Clifford E. Anderson while helping her sister Julia at her home in rural Stephen. Clifford and Anna were married on September 20, 1947. Anna was a homemaker and a partner in her husband's farming business.

Anna was an active member of Drayton Lutheran Church, serving on the Altar committee and also serving as a Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher. Anna was also a member of the WELCA and enjoyed quilting with her circle at the church. She also served as a 4-H leader.

Survivors include her five children, Barbara (David) Forsberg of Thief River Falls, Larry (Pam) of Drayton, N.D., Jeanne Dahl of Bloomington, Craig (Terri) of Grafton, N.D., Cathy Anderson of Grafton, N.D.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie (Gerry) Pechacek of Ellsworth, Wis., Mary (Sheldon) Hiden of River Falls, Wis., and Dorothy (Roydie) Johnson of Ellsworth, Wis.; two brothers, Frank (Leona) Guest of Loveland, Colo. and John (Donita) Guest of Kansas City, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Stella, Julia and Florence; brothers, George and Bill and her husband Clifford.
