Anderson, 61Trail - Stanford G. Anderson, 61, died on Saturday, January 24, 1998 at his home in Trail.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, January 28 at 2 p.m. at Sand Valley Lutheran Church in Trail with Reverend Steven Sparley officiating. Cindy Bjerklie will be the organist. Donna Sherman and LaVonne Enerson will provide special music. Casketbearers will be Jeff Anderson, Gordie Flateland, Wesley Flateland, Richard Clark, Al Clark, Richard Anderson, John Honzel and Todd Thoennes. Burial will be held at the Sand Valley Cemetery near Trail.
Visitation was held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Stanford Gordon Anderson was born on October 22, 1936 near Trail, the son of Oscar and Gertrude (Kalshus) Anderson. He was raised near Trail and graduated from Gonvick High School in 1954. He entered the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, Stanford returned to Trail.
He was united in marriage to Patsy Woods. The couple moved to Rockford, IL where Stanford worked for the Chrysler Corporation as a paint repairman. He retired in January of 1997 and in November moved to Trail where he has since resided.
Stanford is survived by his wife, Pat of Trail; two sons, David Anderson and Keith Anderson, both of Rockford, IL; one daughter, Kimberly (John) Honzel of Machesney, IL; two grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Arlene) Anderson of Plummer; one sister, Gloria (Lavern) Mathson of Mushwago, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother; one daughter-in-law, Trenna Anderson; and one nephew.
