
Thief River Falls - Corwin "Cory" Anderson, 21, died Saturday, November 14, 1998 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, November 18) at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Thief River Falls with Reverend Butch Lewellin and Reverend Bill Kerr officiating. Vi Barr will be the organist, and vocal music will be provided by Ann Gustafson. Casketbearers will be Brian Timm, Mike Bauman, Rob Bruen, Brian Schoon, Andy Solem, Andy Olson, Chris Sorenson and Maikus Carlson.
Visitation was held at the Green Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Reverend Gary Liker officiating. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to services at the church today.
Corwin Michael Anderson was born on May 4, 1977 in Thief River Falls to Steve and Ginny (Burrell) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Thief River Falls. He attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1995.
On October 26, 1996 Cory was united in marriage to Shari Timm in Grand Marais. The couple moved to rural Thief River Falls and then to Salol. They were employed by Polaris Industries. They then moved to Grand Marais before returning to Thief River Falls where Cory worked as a surveyor for his uncle, Charlie Anderson, at J.O.R. Engineering.
He enjoyed many kinds of music, drawing and artwork, tinkering on the computer and playing video games, canoeing in the Boundary Waters, and spending time with his son as well as other family and friends.
Cory is survived by his wife, Shari Anderson of Warren; one son, Michael Timothy Anderson of Warren; his parents, Steve and Ginny Anderson of Grand Marais; one brother, Jeremy ((Jennifer) Anderson of Fall River, MA; his maternal grandparents, Mel and Eunice Burrell of Thief River Falls; his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Mabel Anderson of Bemidji and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
