Donna Alby, 60

Thief River Falls - Donna Alby, 60, died Wednesday, January 6, 1999 at her home in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 at the Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Reverend Donn Roach officiating and providing vocal music. Casketbearers were Steven, Jason, Judd and Jared Alby. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Strathcona.

Donna Mae Stone was born on October 3, 1938 in Thief River Falls to Henry Clifford and Ruth Elizabeth (Westlund) Stone. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended Washington Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956.

Donna moved to California in 1956 and was united in marriage to Joe Cavett Robinson in December of 1957. She worked at a phone company in the Los Angeles area for a short time before finding employment in the food business. The couple lived in California until Donna returned to Thief River Falls in 1972 to care for her mother.

On July 18, 1981 she married Ron Alby in Thief River Falls. Donna worked at Rose's Catering, Lon's Restaurant and was the manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Thief River Falls. She also worked at Hardee's.

Donna was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a creative individual who enjoyed collecting various memorabilia, restoring antique furniture and working on a variety of crafts with her sister. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Ron of Thief River Falls; two daughters, Tabbi Ann Robinson of Pasadena, CA, and Bobbi Jo (Barry) Cole of Tucson, AZ; one son, James Clifford Robinson of California; one brother, Hal Stone of Warren; one sister, Jean (Robert) Smith of Baxter Springs, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Harriet (Mrs. Herbert) Peterson; and two brothers, Earl Stone and another in infancy.
