Willmar
- Thelma Kate Aistrup, 87, formerly of Thief
River Falls, died on Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at
Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
Memorial
services were held on Friday, October 11 at First
Presbyterian Church in Willmar with Rev. Teresa
Chamberlain officiating. Interment was in Fairview
Cemetery in Willmar.
Thelma
Kate Lamb was born on September 2, 1915, the
daughter of Percy and Anna (Meyer) Lamb in Thief
River Falls. She grew up and attended school in
Thief River Falls. After graduating from high
school, she attended and graduated from Michael
Reese Hospital Nursing School in Chicago, Ill. She
then worked as a nurse in Wisconsin, Montana,
Colorado and Wyoming.
On
October 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to
Herbert L. Aistrup. The couple moved to Willmar
where she was employed as a nurse at Bethesda
Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar. She was a
member of First Presbyterian Church in Willmar,
where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the
deacon board and was an elder.
Survivors
include her children, Jo (Russ) Fehl of Willmar and
Larry (Ellen) Aistrup of Little Rock, Ark.; 11
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother,
Wallace (Janice) Lamb of Warren; and other
relatives and friends.
Thelma
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
Herbert; and a son, Gerald.
