Ill. - Marion Adolphson, 74, died on Sunday,
February 1, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center in
Carlinville, Ill.
Memorial
services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the
Memorial Christian Church in Carlinville, with Rev.
Martin Miller officiating. Interment will be held
at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Bloomington.
Marion
Geving was born September 11, 1929 in Warren, the
daughter of Bert and Inga (Blackstead)
Geving.
Marion
was united in marriage to Donald G. Adolphson on
October 19, 1953 in Thief River Falls. Marion lived
all around the world due to her husbands job as a
hydrologist for the U.S. Government. She owned and
operated the Owls Nest Bookstore in Bemidji for
several years.
She was a
member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Gillespie and Hastings. She also enjoyed family,
gardening, reading and quilting.
Survivors
include three daughters, Kristie Dienes of Thief
River Falls, Becky (Martin) Miller of Carlinville,
Ill. and Gretchen (Darin) Ingalls of Minneapolis;
14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two
sisters, Muriel Dagoberg of Minnetonka and Dorothy
Bennett of Thompson, N.D.
Marion
was preceded in death by her parents and her
