Dale Adolphson, 79

Warren - Dale Adolphson, 79, died on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at North Valley Health Center in Warren.

Funeral services were held on Dale Adolphson Friday, November 15 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle with Rev. Gary LaMoine officiating. Norita Beaudry was the organist and special music was provided by Janet Nysetvold and Janel Kresl. Judy Adolphson, Kathleen Riopelle and Larry Rivard were the Eucharistic ministers. Casketbearers were Nathan Lubarski, Carl Adolphson, Nolan Lubarski, Keith Adolphson, Darin Adolphson, Kenley Wahlin, Nevin Lubarski and Landon Adolphson. Honorary casketbearers were Kenneth Bergeron, Thomas Urbaniak, Conrad Gryskiewicz, Raymond Rapacz, Dennis Tulibaski and Louis Bukowski. Interment was in St. Rose Cemetery in Argyle.

Dale Loren Adolphson was born on September 15, 1923, the son of Carl and Florence (Anderson) Adolphson in Wanger Township of Marshall County. He was raised in Wanger Township. Dale served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1945 to 1946. On September 2, 1951, he was united in marriage to Natalie Kostrzewski at the Assumption Catholic Church in Florian. The couple made their home in Wanger Township, where they farmed. Dale also drove a school bus. The couple moved to Argyle in February 2001.

Dale was a 56-year member of the Argyle American Legion and a board member of the Argyle Co-op Warehouse, Argyle Co-op Creamery and Argyle Scholarship Loan Committee. He enjoyed keeping an eye on farming after he retired, reading United States military history and watching the Minnesota Twins. Most importantly, he loved spending time with family and friends and attending his grandchildren's extracurricular activities.

Survivors include his wife, Natalie; two daughters, Merece (Conrad) Lubarski of Argyle and Karla (Chris) Wahlin of Crookston; three sons, Dwaine (Judy), Loren (Diane) and Merle (Jill), all of Argyle; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six siblings, Fern Lundgren of Plymouth, Joy (James) Pearson of Plymouth, Lynn (Joan) of Decatur, Ill., Fae (James) Erickson of Devils Lake, N.D., Carolyn Hess of Plymouth and Kathleen (Earl) Riopelle of Argyle; and many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
