Peter Adamski, 80

Stephen - Peter Adamski, 80, died Monday, July 2, 2001 at his home in Wanger township of Marshall county.

Funeral services were held at 10 Adamski, Peter color a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian with Rev. August Gothman as celebrant. Marilyn Hanson was the organist, and the soloist was Frank Borowicz. Casketbearers were Peter J. Adamski, Michael Adamski, Lawrence Adamski, Matthew Adamski, Ron Kram and Scott Kight. Interment was in Assumption Cemetery in Florian with the Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren in charge of the arrangements.

Peter Adamski was born on June 19, 1921 in Wanger township of Marshall county near Stephen, the son of Joseph and Helen (Grochowski) Adamski. He lived his entire life in the Florian community.

On June 15, 1948, Peter was united in marriage to Cecelia Dolney at Greenbush. The couple made their home in Wanger township where Peter farmed, working in the potatoes for 63 years. He also did carpentry work and worked on road construction.

Peter was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Florian.

He enjoyed his animals on the farm, visiting with his friends and especially, spending time with his family.

Peter is survived by his wife, Cecelia; three sons, Peter J. (Diane) Adamski of Olivia, Michael (special friend Denise) Adamski of Stephen and Lawrence Adamski of North Fort Myers, Fla.; three daughters, Helen (Scott) Kight of Crest View, Fla., Diane Adamski of Drayton, N.D. and Joann (Ron) Kram of Morris; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Zefiryna Kuznia of Warren, Katherine Nelson of Middle River and Bernice Sullivan of Sun City, Calif.; two brothers, Steve (Angeline) Adamski of Strandquist and Harry (Lorraine) Adamski of Stephen; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe, Barney and Stanley; a sister, Frances; and two grandsons, Joshua and Abraham. A00003B2001JL11
