Thief River Falls - Rick Adams, 50, died Saturday, August 21, 1999 at Clearwater County Hospital in Bagley.
Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24 at Green Funeral Home Chapel in Thief River Falls with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Ida Nordvall was the organist, and vocal music was provided by Diane Johnson.
Rick Alan Adams was born on November 27, 1948 in Bismarck, ND, the son of Alan and Marion (Schumer) Adams. He moved to Thief River Falls with his family in 1954 where he attended school and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. He attended Northland College and graduated from the Area Vocational Technical Institute in 1974. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga and was honorably discharged.
On September 2, 1973 he was united in marriage to Shurleen Naas in Thief River Falls. He worked at Hydra-Mac, Associates Advertising and Appliance TV Showcase before starting his own business, Adams Appliance Repair.
Rick is survived by his wife, Shurleen; one daughter, Kristina (Scott) Hesse of Thief River Falls; his parents, Alan and Marion Adams, formerly of Thief River Falls, now living in Mesa, AZ; one sister, Jodi (Bill) Hartzell of River Falls, WI; one brother, Ronn Adams of West Fargo, ND; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Todd Adams.
