Luceile Helen Yonke, 86 İİİ Thief River Falls - Luceile Helen Yonke, 86, died on Monday, August 23, 2004, at the CNC unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls. Funeral İİİVisitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25 (today), from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service held at 7 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. İİİLuceile Helen Lindblom was born on July 29, 1918 in Bray Township, Pennington County, the daughter of Arthur and Annie (Swanson) Lindblom. She was baptized and confirmed at Black River Lutheran Church and attended country school in Bray Township and graduated in 1936 from St. Hilaire High School. Following high school she was employed for a short time for the Barzen Family. İİİOn March 30, 1941 she was united in marriage to Gerald Gust Yonke in Thief River Falls. Together Luceile and Gerald operated a small grain farm. They raised and showed registered Brown Swiss cattle. While raising their four daughters Carol, Sharon, Laura and Lyla, she was active as 4-H Leader for many years, Calvary Sunday school leader, and Lutheran children of the reformation. Gerald died in 1978. In 1989 Luceile moved into Skylite apartments in Thief River Falls. There she was active on the residents council and always enjoyed the activities and fellow residents at Skylite. İİİLuceile was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Aide, a member of Brown Swiss Catle Association and the St. Hilaire Homemakers Club. Luceile helped to furnish the Swanson Cabin at the Pioneer Village. She enjoyed oil painting, all types of hand work, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. İİİShe is survived by her daughters Carol (James) Ivens of Minneapolis, Sharon (Richard) Jorde of Thief River Falls, Laura (special friend, Roger Kriel) Nelson of St. Hilaire, Lyla (Gary) Mosbeck of Red Lake Falls; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Carl (Olga) Lindblom of Goodridge, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. İİİLuceile was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sons-in-law Jonas Nelson and Ronald Salmon; and one great grandchild. İİİİİİİİİİİİA00003B2004AG25 |
