
Warren - Elizabeth Woinarowicz, 87, died Thursday, October 7, 1999 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 9 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Warren with the Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Elizabeth Mager was born on November 19, 1911 at Warsaw, ND, the daughter of Leo and Mary (Lizakowski) Mager. She spent her early years in the Drayton, ND area where she attended school.
On May 6, 1929, she was united in marriage to John Woinarowicz at Drayton. The couple made their home in Eagle Point township of Marshall county near Stephen. In 1959, they moved to Euclid. Elizabeth moved to Warren following John's death on July 3, 1977.
Survivors include 11 daughters, Cecilia (William) Teske of Grafton, ND, Blanche (Peter) Kostrzewski of Strandquist, Anna Mae (Duane) Jeffrey of East Grand Forks, Irene Kazmierczak of Strandquist, Eleanor (Daniel) Kostrzewski of Argyle, Martha Jeffrey of East Grand Forks, Dorothy Hillestad of Grand Forks, ND, Marlene (James) Bishop of Warroad, Kay Buchanan of Dallas, TX, and Phyllis Woinarowicz and Judy Rahier, both of Thief River Falls; seven sons, Leonard (Adeline) of Euclid, Eddie (Lilly) of Sulphur Springs, TX, Sylvester (Kay) of Midway City, CA, Michael (Sharon) of Fargo, ND, John of Alvarado, Ernest C. (Pat) of Newfolden and Duane (Shirley) of Fertile; 68 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; and three sisters, Amelia (Art) Scharmer of Grafton, ND, Ursula (Bob) Burkhart of Joshua Tree, CA and Eleanor Nelson of Grafton, ND.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Sarah; one grandson; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter. A00003B1999OT13
