Gonvick - Minnie Wolden, 95, of Gonvick died Thursday, June 12, l997 at the Itasca Nursing Home In Grand Rapids.
Funeral Services were held Monday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at the Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick with the Reverands Eric Midthun and Royce Wolden officiating. Interment was at the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetary in Gonvick. The Cease Funeral Home of Bagley was in charge of the arrangements.
Minnie was born October 15, l901 in Gonvick the daughter of Amund and Gurina (Svennes) Sondrud. She was baptized, confirmed and grew up in the Lutheran faith. She attended rural school in the Gonvick area. On October 15, l924, she was united in marriage to Oscar A. Wolden at the Gonvick Lutheran parsonage. She was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Lutheran church and the ladies aid.
Minnie is survived by two sons, Marvin (Mary Lou) Wolden of Gonvick and Royce (Marilyn) Wolden of Sawyer, MI; four sisters, Stella Halverson, Florence Hausman, Fern Spencer, and Evelyn Kimball all of California; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1970; one son, Dennis in l956; one daughter, Eileen in 1997; two brothers, Clifford and Edmund; and one sister, Ruth Hare.
