Viona Wiskow, 100 İİİ Greenbush - Viona Wiskow, 100, of Greenbush, formerly of Roseau, died on Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at Greenbush Nursing Home. Funeral Viona Wiskow was born Viona Paulsen, the daughter of Lars and Caroline (McFarlane) Paulsen on February 8, 1904 in Barnett Township, Roseau County. She grew up and attended school there. She married Marshall Wiskow on May 23, 1923 in Roseau. They farmed in Huss Township for many years. Retiring from the farm in 1958, they moved to Roseau. Marshall Wiskow died in 1979. Viona became a resident of the Greenbush Nursing Home on December 1, 1997. She was a member of Klondike Lutheran Church until it closed and then was a member of Rose Lutheran Church in Roseau and their ladies aids. İİİShe loved gardening, rug making, crocheting, quilting and making clothes for the children. She was a care-giver for the neighbors and their families at their times of need. She was a midwife for many years. She was co-founder and charter member of the Northland Threshing Bee and active with that group until her health began to fail. İİİSurvivors include four children: Gertie (Orlen) Eidsmoe of Roseau, Curtis (Aloyce) Wiskow and Melroy (Avis) Wiskow, all of Strathcona and Roger ?Pete? (Hilda) Wiskow of Roseau; one son-in-law, Valent Bernat of Roseau; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Hogan of Greenbush; two sisters-in-law, Luella Gregerson of Badger and Agnes Paulsen of Greenbush; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. İİİShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lenay Bernat and Morella and James Eidsmoe; three granddaughters; three brothers, Morris, Walter and Lawrence Paulsen and his first wife, Ella; two sisters, Pauline (Rudy) Peterson and Irene (Theodore) Smith; and brother-in-law Palmer Hogan.
