Phyllis Wimpfheimer, 74

Angus - Phyllis Wimpfheimer, 74, died Saturday, November 11, 2000 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, November 15) at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren with Rev. Richard Luedtke officiating. Duets will be presented by Rev. Troy and Chrisy Bates. Casketbearers will be Cory Wimpfheimer, Bob Wimpfheimer, Mark Wimpfheimer, Alan Washburn, Jason Sprosty, Daniel Sprosty, Cheri Wimpfheimer and Erica Wimpfheimer. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren.

Visitation was held after 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home in Warren with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church.

Phyllis Mae Knutson was born on May 16, 1926 in Helgeland township of Polk county, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Knute) Knutson. She spent her early years in the Helgeland township area where she attended a country school.

On June 26, 1945, she was united in marriage to Edwin Wimpfheimer at Angus. The couple made their home in Helgeland township where they farmed.

Phyllis enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crocheting, cooking, playing cards, solving puzzles and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin; two daughters, Barbara (Patrick) Sprosty of Thief River Falls and Rose (Michael) Washburn of Caledonia, Wisc.; a son, Maynard (Karen) Wimpfheimer of Williams; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two step great-grandson; two sisters, Caroline Hankinson of St. Louis, Mo. and Deloris "Dolly" Kaml of Warren; three brothers, Oscar (Edna) Knutson of Ft. Atkinson, Wisc. and Duane (Lila) Knutson and Dennis Knutson, both of Zerkel; and many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth; and a grandson, Shawn Sprosty.
