
Thief River Falls - Mildred Wilde, 87, died Thursday, May 25, 2000 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services
were held at 10
a.m. on Saturday,
May 27, at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Raymond officiating.
Ida Nordvall was the organist, and the soloist was Naomi Raymond.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls with Green
Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mildred Alvina Olson was born on October 18, 1912 in Granite Falls, the daughter of Knute and Julia (Highum) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended school in Granite Falls.
On December 24, 1934, Mildred was united in marriage to David F. Wilde by Rev. R.M. Fjelstad. The couple lived in Kratka township of Pennington county until David went into the service. Mildred worked as a a clerk at Nieilands Department Store in Los Angeles, Calif. and also the B & B Style Shoppe in Thief River Falls. The couple farmed in Kratka township. Following David's death on March 12, 1979, Mildred moved into Thief River Falls.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she participated in Ladies Aid and sang with the Silvertones.
Mildred is survived by many nieces and nephews in the Minneapolis area and Renton, Wash. Also surviving are several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five brothers, Theodore, Edwin, Franklin, Merold and LeRoy Olson; and three sisters, Mabel Rude, Edith Schaffran and Clara Aarvig. A00003B2000MY31
