C. David Wilcox, 51

Obit David Wilcox b/wSebastopol, Calif. - Charles David Wilcox, 51, died Sunday, September 24, 2000 at his home in Sebastopol, Calif.

C. David Wilcox was born on December 2, 1948, in Ada, the son of Charles and Gertrude (TenBos) Wilcox. He attended school in Thief River Falls before moving to Newfolden during his senior year, graduating from Newfolden High School. While attending college, he worked for Holsum Bakery. He attended Concordia College and Moorhead State College, graduating with a BA degree in education and a minor in science. He served in the Army Reserve. After teaching in the Burnsville School system, David returned to school at the University of Minnesota, receiving his degree in health care administration. He managed several nursing homes in Minnesota, Texas and California where he enjoyed his work and took pride in knowing all of his residents and employees.

He also enjoyed gardening and entertaining family and friends.

Dave is survived by his parents, Charles and Mary Wilcox of Grand Forks, N.D. and Marcel and Gertrude Douglas of Newfolden; five sisters, Peggy (Vernon) Gunderson, Patty (Jerome) Nelson and Tami Wilcox, all of Newfolden, Jamie (Michael) Distel of Viking and Julie (Corey) Skjerven of Thief River Falls.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Lucille TenBos, Charles E. Wilcox and Bessie (Wilcox) Sheets and step grandfather, Harold Sheets. He was also preceded in death by an aunt, uncle and niece. A00003B2000OC04
