
Warroad - Jason Wheeler, 26, died on Sunday morning, August 17, 1997 as the result of a one car accident in Cedarbend township, Roseau County.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, August 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Free Lutheran Church with Reverend Terry Olson officiating. Music will be provided by organist Wanda Vigness and soloist Joel Kezar. Casketbearers will be Bob Rundell, Jason Miller, Neil Helle, Chris Taylor, Shawn Vaughan and Todd Greisen. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home on Tuesday and one hour prior to the services today.
Jason Alan Wheeler was born April 28, 1971 in Thief River Falls to Alan and Eloise (Raymond) Wheeler. He was baptized at St. Bernard's Catholic Church and attended school at Northup, Mark Twain and Lincoln High School, graduating in 1990. Jason attended the Area Vocational Technical Institute and graduated from the Computer Aided Drafting course in 1992. He was employed by ECSU, at Handy Farms as a cook, and at Great Lakes Gas Company for three summers. For the past four years, Jason has worked for Marvin Windows in Warroad and was presently a Facility Engineer. He was united in marriage to Christy Lynn Miller on April 19, 1996 in Roseau. The couple lived in Warroad.
Jason is survived by his wife, Christy; one son, Jesse Mark Alan; his mother, Eloise Raymond of Thief River Falls; his father, Alan Wheeler and his wife, Mary of Winona; one sister, Sheila (Bob) Rundell of Thief River Falls; one half-sister, Stephanie Wheeler of Winona; grandparents, Lorne and Libby Wheeler of Rolette, ND; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patty and Steve Lyson of Welch and Gene and Kari Miller of Hallock.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Morris and Pauline Raymond.
