Fosston - Raymond Welch, 73, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at the Fosston Hospital in Fosston.
Funeral services were held April 14 at McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in McIntosh. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Raymond Welch was born June 4, 1923 in Thief River Falls, to the late Mike and Pearl (Dryer) Welch. He attended school and grew to adulthood in Thief River Falls. He worked as a laborer and was in the army during World War II. He moved to McIntosh Manor in 1995.
He enjoyed visiting with people, especially with residents and staff at McIntosh Manor, Win-E-Mac, and high school volunteers. He also enjoyed bingo, parties, coloring and took part in all the social activities at McIntosh Manor.
He is survived and will be missed by many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Dorothy Lemky and Doreen Vaughan; and one brother, LeRoy Welch.
Arrangements were with Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls.
