Madeline Vonasek, 87

Thief River Falls -- Madeline Vonasek, 87, Thief River Falls, died Monday, September 6, 1999, at the Northwestern Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 10 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Tabor. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 9 at the Stennes Funeral Home in East Grand Forks, and for an hour before services at the church. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery at Tabor.

Madeline Vonasek was born November 2, 1911 in Northland township, Polk County, Minnesota the daughter of Alois and Nettie (Zak) Kopecky. She grew up on the family farm and attended school. She married Emil Vonasek in Tabor on November 10, 1936. They farmed until retirement in 1975. They moved to Thief River Falls in 1994.

She is survived by her three sons: Eugene (Valerie) of Aurora, Ohio; Paul (Rita) of Brooklyn Park; Ted (Pam) of Plymouth; seven grandchildren and a sister, Violet (Marvin) Birkholz of Grand Forks, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emil, three brothers: Albin, Rudy, Edward; two sisters: Elise and Polly. A00003B1999SP08
