Ishpeming, MI - Daryl Voecks, 46, died Wednesday, February 18, 1998 at Marquette General Hospital. He had been in ill health since December of 1997.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 21 at 2 p.m. at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming, MI with Captain Rosemary Matson officiating.
Daryl Lee Voecks was born on March 25, 1951 in Thief River Falls to Ervin and Evelyn (Nelson) Voecks. He has lived in the Ishpeming area for the past 20 years. He worked construction for the Menze Construction Company. He was a member of the Tilden Twp. Club and Local 1329 Labor Union of Iron Mountain, MI.
Daryl is survived by his girlfriend, Donna Valela of Ishpeming; his mother, Evelyn Voecks of Thief River Falls; five brothers, Loren (Mary) Voecks of Thief River Falls, Allen Voecks of Brainerd, Kevin Voecks of Fergus Falls, Terry (Cheryl) Voecks of Thief River Falls and Brian (Colette) Voecks of Thief River Falls; two sisters, Karen Voecks of Mandan, ND and Lorri (Dave) Johnson of Warroad; nine nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; an infant brother; and his grandparents.
