Thief River Falls - Funeral services for Brian Underdahl were held Saturday, September 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Westaker Free Lutheran Church in Newfolden. Brian Underdahl, 38, died Saturday, August 30, 1997 near Newfolden in a lawn mower accident.
Reverend LeRoy Flickinger officiated. Burial was at Westaker Cemetery in New Folden township, Marshall County. Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Brian Ellis Underdahl was born on November 12, 1958 in Thief River Falls, the son of Elton and Yvonne (Nelson) Underdahl. He was baptized and confirmed at Viking Free Lutheran Church. He attended Marshall County Central School in Newfolden. Brian worked at various jobs in the area and at the ODC in Thief River Falls.
He enjoyed playing cards, wood burning, drawing, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Brian is survived by his parents, Elton and Yvonne Underdahl of Newfolden; five sisters, Ronalda Underdahl of Newfolden, Lynsay (Rodney) Hagenbeck of Moorhead, Marcy (Robert) Larson of Wisconsin, Tawna McGregor of Viking and Cynseri (Dean) Peterson of Newfolden; one brother, Shawn (Joey) of Goodridge; his maternal grandmother, Helga Nelson of Thief River Falls; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Avon; paternal grandparents, Sigward and Cynthia Underdahl; maternal grandfather, Edward Nelson; one aunt and two uncles.
