
Thief River Falls - Wenda Thygeson, 60, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999 at Dakota Heartland Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Reverend Galen Sylvester officiating. Joyce Halbasch was the organist, and vocal music was provided by Diane Johnson.
Casketbearers were Clayton Blom, Stanley Johnson, Charles Larson, Steve Storhaug, Chad Cater, Jim Rogalla and Ron Winters. Honorary casketbearers were the "Smokey Mountain Boys," present and past employees of Thygeson Construction, relatives and employees and friends from River Road Casino. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Wenda Elaine Czeh was born on February 10, 1939 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Walter and Linnea (Westberg) Czeh. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. She attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1959.
On July 26, 1959 Wenda was united in marriage to DuWayn Thygeson. The couple owned and operated Thygeson Construction.
Wenda was a member of Thief Lake Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies Aid.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and Keno and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Wenda is survived by her husband, DuWayn of Thief River Falls; five sons, Mark (Roxanne) of Wasilla, AK, and Mike (special friend Bonnie Aaseby), Bryan (Kathy), Bruce and Monty, all of Thief River Falls; five grandchildren; her parents; Walter and Linnea Czeh of Thief River Falls; four sisters, Lois (Harold) Anderson of Park River, ND, Betty (Wayne) Holmgren of Roseau, Judy (Larry) Everson of Minneapolis, Jeanne (Dave) Cloutier of Hudson, WI; one brother, Wayne (Pat) Czeh of Roseau; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
