Lisa Thompson, 31

Moorhead - Lisa N. Thompson, 31, died Saturday, September 16, 2000 at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moorhead with Father Michael Foltz presiding. Jeff Liden was the soloist, and special music was presented by St. Joseph's School Children's Choir. Directing the choir was Julie Hardmeyer. Organist Judy Buscher was the accompanist. Casketbearers were Steven Carlson, Scott Carlson, Bob Jansen, Ryan Rislov, Dan Thompson, Greg Holland and Craig Mohr. Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Barnesville.

Lisa Ray was born on December 23, 1968 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Don and Jeanne (Cockrell) Ray. She grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1987. She graduated from Northland Community College in 1989. She later attended Moorhead State University, graduating in 1995 with a degree as a legal assistant.

On September 24, 1994, Lisa married Shane Thompson at Wolverton. The couple made their home in Moorhead where she worked for the Cass County States Attorneys office in Fargo.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Shane; three sons, Brady, Dominic and Benjamin, all at home; her father, Don Ray of Aurora; her parents, Jeanne and Tom Williams of Thief River Falls; her grandparents, Lois and Gordon Williams of Buffalo; three brothers, Steven (Kathy) Carlson, Scott Carlson and Don (Cindy) Ray Jr., all of Thief River Falls; two sisters, Linda (Bob) Jansen of Hastings and Sarah (Ryan) Rislov of Denver, Colo.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Richard and Mary Lou Thompson of rural Barnesville; and several other in-laws.
