River Falls - Jeannie Thompson, 42, died Monday, September 4,
2000 at her home in Sanders township of Pennington county.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 3, at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Rev. Terri Cuppett officiating. Joel Kezar will be the soloist. Family members will serve as casketbearers.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, from 3 to 8 p.m with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Green Funeral Home.
Jeannie Louise Peterson was born on June 8, 1958 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Richard and Betty (Owen) Peterson. She attended school in Thief River Falls. Jeannie worked at several places in the area including ELCerito's in St. Hilaire, Johnny's Cafe and Best Western Inn.
Jeannie was married to Scott Gustafson and together they had a daughter. Later she was married to Gary Mosbeck and Randy Swenson. On June 6, 1998, she married Jim Thompson in Goodridge, and they made their home in Sanders township.
She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and raising sled dogs as a hobby.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Jim of Thief River Falls; one daughter, Abby Lee Mosbeck of Thief River Falls; her parents, Betty Laufman of Warroad and Richard Peterson of Erskine; one grandson; two sisters, Le Ann (Jim) Carlson of Richland, Wash. and Jan Engelstad of Thief River Falls; three brothers, Jimmy Peterson of Colorado, Todd Peterson of Thief River Falls and Michael (Connie) Laufman of Warroad; her grandmother, Lydia Owen of Thief River Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Morris Owen; paternal grandparents; and one brother, Steve Peterson.
