Doyle W. Thompson, 62 İİİ Middle River - Doyle W. Thompson, 62 died at his home in Middle River on Saturday, August 7. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Doyle Warren Thompson, the son of Elsie (Witt) and the late Lyle Thompson, was born on August 13, 1941, in Roseau. He attended the former Grass Lake School near his home, and grew to manhood in the Benwood community, near Strathcona. He graduated from Greenbush High School in 1959. Doyle was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He farmed with his uncle, Birdin, in Benwood, and in the Fall he hauled beets for the Eggebraatens of Fisher. İİİOn April 2, 1966, Doyle was united in marriage to Gladys (Pesek) Wahlert in Thief River Falls. He worked for Border States Paving of Fargo, N.D., in 1967 and in 1969, became employed by the Thief River Falls water treatment plant where he worked until 1988. İİİIn 1989, he started at Northern Pride, working there for two seasons, retiring due to a hereditary lung disease. He resided in Middle River. Doyleís greatest joy in life was dancing, spending time with his grandchildren, and reminiscing with family and friends. He is survived by two daughters: Julene (Bob) Kraiter of Moorhead and Deanne (Bob) Koestner of Thief River Falls; step-daughter: Audrey Wahlert of Thief River Falls; five grandchildren; his mother, Elsie Thompson of Roseau; his twin brother, Donald (Darlene) of Warroad and adopted brother, Michael Thompson of St. Cloud; one sister, Marlene (Arne) Isane of Badger; special friend, Linda Anderson of Middle River; in addition to several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. İİİDoyle was preceded in death by his father; his infant sister, Eldora; special grandparents, Oliver and Bertha (Mamma) Thompson and Frank and Annie Witt; and special uncle, Birdin Thompson.
