Rose Thibert, 84

Red Lake Falls - Rose Thibert, 84, died Sunday, January 17, 1999 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Gerald Noesen officiating. Kathie Knott will be the organist, and special music will be provided by St. Joseph's Church Choir. Shauna Reitmeier will be the soloist. Casketbearers will be Ken Thibert, Mark Reitmeier, Juan Ramirez, Leroy Reitmeier, Steve Thibert and John Thibert. Honorary casketbearers will be the staff and residents of Hillcrest Nursing Home. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Terrebonne.

Visitation will be held today (Wednesday, January 20) from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Rose Mary Danduran was born on December 22, 1914 at Terrebonne, the daughter of Edmund and Louisa (Lachapelle) Danduran. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Terrebonne.

On February 9, 1932 she was united in marriage to Hank Thibert at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Terrebonne. Rose was employed as a seamstress for Alma, later known as Detroiter Mobile Homes. She also worked for Father W. Keefe and Father G. Noesen of St. Joseph's Parish. Hank died on December 12, 1958. Rose has resided at Hillcrest Nursing Home since August 11, 1995.

She was a member and held various offices in the Catholic Daughters, Foresters, American Legion Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors of America. She enjoyed baking apple pie.

Rose is survived by two sons, Dick (Karen) Thibert of Everett, WA and Chuck (Eli) Thibert of Marysville, WA; one daughter, Mary Reitmeier of Crookston; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Fournier of Selah, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one infant son, Herman; three sisters, Mary, Anna and Pearl; and six brothers, Edward, Harvey, Homer, Oscar, Leon and Armand.
