Aribelle Taylor, 76

Mountain Mesa, CA - Aribelle "Bella" Marie Taylor, 76, formerly of Oklee, died Monday, December 20, 1999 at Mountain Mesa, CA.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee with Father Gary LaMoine officiating. Barb Melby was the organist, and vocal music was provided by Lori Melby, Carolyn Rystad and Donald Berry. Donald Berry was the ashes bearer, Tonya Melby and Dale Rystad were the alter servers. Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery with the Petterson Funeral Home of Oklee in charge of the arrangements.

Aribelle Marie Berry was born on November 14, 1923 at Oklee, the daughter of Louis and Georgianna (LaCoursiere) Berry. She grew up and attended school in Oklee, graduating from Oklee High School.

In 1952 Bella moved to California where she managed restaurants in Hollywood and Boron and owned and operated her own restaurant in Venice, CA. Twenty-five years ago she moved to the Kern River Valley where she worked for Century 21 in real estate sales until her retirement.

Bella is survived by a special friend, Gordy Evans of Bodfish, CA; one sister, Vi Bergh of Oklee; one brother, Leo Berry of St. Paul; one sister-in-law, Iona Berry of Oklee; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ray Berry and Jerome Berry; and one sister, Delores Berry. A00003B2000JA05
