
Thief River Falls - Stanley Szymanski, 75, died Saturday, May 22, 1999 at his home in Kratka township of Pennington county.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 27 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Father Dennis Wieland officiating. Special music will be provided by the Resurrection Choir. Casketbearers will be Tim Szymanski, Robert Efta, Charles Efta, Craig Torkelson, Lester DeBriyn, Richard Hawk, Stanley Hruby and Todd Carlson. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 26) at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with a 8 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church.
Stanley Szymanski was born on January 12, 1924 in Kratka township of Pennington county, the son of Ben and Mary (Oski) Szymanski. He was baptized into the Catholic faith and attended Sunnyside School in Kratka township. He spent his entire life farming the home farm in Kratka township.
Stanley enjoyed playing hockey and baseball with other members of the Kratka community and enjoyed most sporting events throughout his lifetime.
He also enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and especially trapping.
Stanley is survived by two sisters, Rose Szymanski of St. Paul and June (Raymond) Efta of Greenbush; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Thaddeus; and one sister, Helen. A00003B1999MY26
