
Thief River Falls - Patricia Sund, 57, died Saturday, August 30, 1997 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 2 at 11 a.m. at Our Saviour's Free Lutheran Church with Reverend Terry Olson officiating. Music was provided by organist Wanda Vigness. Casketbearers were Tim, Jeff and Scot Sund and Rand, Steve and Mark Granberg. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Patricia Delores Granberg was born on January 31, 1940 in Ada, the daughter of Carl and Delores (Habeck) Granberg. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. She attended school and graduated from Ada High School in 1957. She attended the Thief River Falls Area Vocational Technical College for two years. On October 3, 1959 she was united in marriage to Orvin Sund in Ada. The couple raised their family and made their home in Thief River Falls. Pat worked at several places, most recently for 18 years at the Northwest Medical Center until ill health forced her to retire in 1993.
She was a member of Our Saviour's Free Lutheran Church. Pat loved her children and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing craft work. For a number of years, she was active in the Thief River Falls Figure Skating Association.
Pat is survived by her husband Orvin of Thief River Falls; one daughter, Dena (Ayrn) Bell of Denver, CO; three sons, Tim of Thief River Falls, Jeff of Eau Claire, WI and Scot (Jade) of Denver, CO; ten grandchildren; her mother, Delores Granberg of Fargo, ND; one sister, Cathy (Tim) Cusey of Fargo, ND; four brothers, Bud (Lola) Granberg of Arizona, Randy Granberg of Fargo, ND, Steve (Linda) Granberg of Moorhead and Mark (Nancy) Granberg of Fargo, ND; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl.
