
Grand Forks, N.D. - Genevieve "Gen" D. Sullivan, 81, died Saturday, July 8, 2000 at Valley Memorial Elder Care Center in Grand Forks, N.D.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, July 12) at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Stennes Funeral Home in East Grand Forks.
Genevieve Miller was born on February 6, 1919 near Warsaw, N.D., the daughter of Anton and Suzanna (Reszka) Miller. She grew up on a farm near Warsaw where she attended rural school. She also attended the Convent School in Warsaw.
On October 18, 1941, she married William K. Sullivan in Warsaw. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Fargo, N.D., Port Orchard, Wash. and Grand Forks, N.D. She was employed at the S.S. Kresgee Store in Grand Forks, the University of North Dakota and also had a catering and housekeeping business in Grand Forks. Since her husband's death on July 2, 1988, she had been employed as an office manager and bookkeeper at Sullivan Electric.
Genevieve is survived by one daughter, Ann (Salvinus) Hoffert of Thief River Falls; one son, William A. (Mary) Sullivan of Grand Forks; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, Ambrose, Stanley, Winslow and Benedict Miller; and one sister, Eugenia Knaus. A00003B2000JL12
