Martinez, CA - Kathleen A. Stromsmoe, 69, died Wednesday, July 15, 1998 at her home in Martinez, CA.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, July 26 11 a.m. at Oakmont Memorial Park, Garden of Peace in Lafayette, CA.
Kathleen A. Ulseth was born on December 6, 1928 in Crookston, the daughter of Arthur and Kathrine Estenson Ulseth Johnson. She attended school in Crookston and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in 1946. She lived in Long Beach, Berkeley and Richmond, CA and Anacortez, WA before settling in Martinez, CA in 1958. She married Mervin E. Stromsmoe of Climax and Roseau.
She was a member of the Sons of Norway, Shell Alumni, John Muir Hospital Auxiliary-Tenaya Guild and the Senior Citizens' Club of Martinez. She enjoyed dancing, genealogy, bridge, golf and travel.
Kathleen is survived by one son, Kent Stromsmoe of Martinez, CA; one daughter, Karen Erickson of Santa Rosa, CA; three grandchildren; and one brother, Dennis Ulseth of Bismarck, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin in 1986, and her parents.
