Crookston - Bessie "Betsy" Strebig, 68, formerly of Oklee, died Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 26 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls with Rev. Robert Paulson officiating.
Betsy Sannes was born on June 9, 1932 at Crookston, the daughter of Theodore and Amanda (Steiner) Sannes. She was raised and attended school near Oklee.
Betsy married Wilfred Ostlund at Crookston, and they resided at East Grand Forks, Crookston and Effie. She later married Wayne Strebig in Grand Forks, N.D., and they made their home in East Grand Forks. She was currently residing in Crookston.
Betsy is survived by three daughters, Diane Ostlund of Dallas, Texas, Madonna (Robert) Combs of Anchorage, Alaska and Holly Peterson of Nielsville; three sons, David Ostlund of Hollywood, Fla., Tim (Linda) Ostlund of Crookston, and Sheldon Ostlund of Effie; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and a son, Kim Ostlund. A00003B2000NV29
