Chip Stockwell, 19

Plummer - Chip James Stockwell, 19, died Sunday, January 11, 1998 in Terrebonne township of Red Lake County.

Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brooks with Father Joe Richards officiating. Janel Vanek was the organist. Casketbearers were Jason Cervantes, Ryan Halvorson, Scott Waldal, Justin Rewertz, Derick Vettleson and Bryan Unbehaun. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery at Beach, ND.

Chip James Stockwell was born on June 22, 1978 at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Mountain Home, ID, the son of Leonard and Cindi (Tescher) Stockwell. He lived with his parents in Sentinel Butte and Beach, ND prior to moving to Plummer in 1989. He attended school in Beach through the sixth grade and then completed grade school and high school in Plummer. Chip was baptized in Beach and confirmed in Plummer at St. Vincent Church.

For the past three years, Chip has been employed off and on at Subway in Thief River Falls. He spent several enjoyable summers at his grandparents' ranch in Beach, ND. He was currently attending Northland Community and Technical College in the aviation program.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed spending time with his many friends and large family of cousins, aunts and uncles. He will be most remembered for his smile.

Chip is survived by his parents, Leonard and Cindi Stockwell; two brothers, Chad of Eagen and Chase at home; one sister, Chelsea, also at home; and his grandparents, Rena Stockwell and Jim and Loretta Tescher, all of Beach, ND.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Stockwell and uncle, Robert Stockwell.
