Torrance, CA - Alice Stallmo, 92, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999 at her home in Torrance, CA.
Funeral services were held at Inglewood Park in Inglewood, CA with Reverend Dean Hanson of First Luth-eran Church in Torrance, CA officiating.
Alice Kveste was born on February 25, 1907 in Highlanding, the daughter of Ben and Thorand Kveste. She attended the Northwest School of Agriculture, graduating in 1920.
In 1928 she married Theodore Stallmo of Bygland, and the couple lived in East Grand Forks. In 1952 Theodore went to work for an overseas construction company, and the couple moved to Torrance, CA. Theodore died in 1975. Alice retired from the Sees Candy Co. in 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Burns and LouAnn Myerchin, both of Torrance, CA; two sons, Jon Stallmo of Torrance and Vernon Stallmo of LaHabra, CA; two sisters, Sigrid Olson of Redondo Beach, CA and Theone Whalen of Huntington Beach, CA; one brother, Tharl Kveste of Baltom, MO; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Ben Arden in 1936 and one grandson, Jon Burns in 1986. A00003B1999AG04
