Todd W. Spilde, 33

Minneapolis - Todd Spilde, 33, died Tuesday, February 17, 1998 at Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 21 at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Mahnomen with Pastor Ivan Wambheim officiating. Lavon Slette was the organist, and special music was provided by Robyn Spaeth. Casketbearers were Craig Nelson, Gary Johnson, Dan Cook, Dennis Neisen, Steve Herrick and Brian Benson. Honorary casketbearers were the Mahnomen High School Class of 1982. Burial was at First Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Mattson Funeral Home of Mahnomen was in charge of the arrangements.

Todd William Spilde was born on May 22, 1964 in Moorhead to Ray and Ann (Pemberton) Spilde. At the age of three, Todd moved to Mahnomen with his family. He graduated from Mahnomen High School and Moorhead State University with a Bachelors degree in finance. After college, he moved to Breezy Point Resort at Pequot Lakes where he sold time shares. He then moved to Minneapolis where he worked for Home Rental Systems and Real Estate Equities. He was currently employed by Minnesota Public Housing Authority.

Todd was married to Erica Olson on November 17, 1990 in Minneapolis.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Mahnomen, Toastmasters, and Bunker Hills men's golf league. He was also on the board of directors of Little Earth Housing Authority.

Todd is survived by his parents, Ann and Tom Ryan of Mahnomen and Ray and Lori Spilde of Ponsford; one son, Todd Spilde Jr. of Brooklyn Park; one stepdaughter, Candice Olson of Brooklyn Park; one sister, Katherine Spilde of Santa Cruz, CA; two stepbrothers, Shaun and Charlie Ryan, both of Mahnomen; grandparents, William (Mabel) Pemberton of Hallock and Neva Spilde of Kennedy; and his former wife, Erica Olson of Brooklyn Park.
