Harlan Sorenson, 51

Rice - Harlan D. Sorenson, 51, died Tuesday, February 18, 1997 at his home. Arrangements were with Dingman Funeral Home of Sauk Rapids.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 24 at Faith Hope Love Church in Little Falls with Rev. Jan Bosman officiating.

Harlan Sorenson was born on October 17, 1945 in Thief River Falls, the son of Henry and Cora (Muzzy) Sorenson. He grew up in Thief River Falls and graduated from high school in 1963. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1977. He was united in marriage to Sharon Weinrich on September 21, 1978. He was a Milk Tester for Dairy Herd Improvement Association from 1979 to 1989 and worked as an Electrician/Engineer for United Mailings from 1989 to the present. He was a member of Faith Hope Love Church and a member of the Little Falls American Legion Post #137.

He is survived by stepchildren Andrew Olson of Starbuck, Daniel Fiskal of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Timothy Fiskal of Elbow Lake; brothers Henry Sorenson Sr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Roger Sorenson of Luverne, and Orville Sorenson of LaCrosse, WI; sisters Helen Davidson of Moorhead, Shirley Eckers of St. Louis Park, and Audrey Isaacson of Federal Way, WA; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Sharon on July 3, 1995.
