
Erskine - Eleanore Shaver, 57, died Tuesday, January 13, 1998 at First Care Hospital in Fosston.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 17 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Assembly Church in Fosston with Pastors Virgil Rasmussen and S. Jerome Elness officiating. Special music was provided by Ken Penner and Bob and Becky Overmoe. Casketbearers were John Blaser, Glen Bergerson, Bob Overmoe, Bob Berberich, Bruce Galland and Chrispen Galland. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, rural Erskine, in the spring. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine was in charge of the arrangements.
Eleanore Jeanne Knutson was born on November 3, 1940 in Warren, the daughter of Kenneth A. and Julia (Stuemke) Knutson. She was baptized on November 17, 1940 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warren. She was confirm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Crookston.
On April 18, 1964, Eleanore was united in marriage to Larry Shaver at Erskine. After their marriage they lived and farmed near Erskine. She worked for many years at the 2 & 59 Truck Stop at Erskine and for a few years at Leon and Edie's Cafe at Erskine. She was a member of Bethel Assembly Church in Fosston where she was active in the women's mission group.
Eleanore is survived by her husband, Larry of Erskine; parents, Ken and Julia Knutson of Trail; one brother, Kenneth L. Knutson of Trail; mother-in-law, Annie Shaver of Erskine; brother-in-law, Rodger (Rosie) Shaver of Erskine; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
