
Red Lake Falls - Orissa Schultz, 79, died Monday, February 24, 1997 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls. Arrangements were with Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 28 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls with Rev. Curtis Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Immanuel Cemetery of Wylie.
Casketbearers were all of Orissa's grandchildren.
Orissa Ione Prestegaard was born on August 10, 1917 in Star Township, Pennington County, the daughter of the late Severt and Ellen (Sandeen) Prestegaard. She attended Clovernook school in Star Township and graduated from the AC School in Crookston in 1936. She was united in marriage to Louis Schultz Sr. in June of 1942 in Erie. they lived and farmed in Louisville township near Red Lake Falls and worked in the Dorothy Store. She also worked for Inter-County for several years prior to retirement.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran church and active in Ladies Aid, active in 4-H Clubs and knitting classes.
She is survived by sons Louis Jr. and Herman, both of Red Lake Falls; daughter-in-law Laura Pahlen Schultz of Red Lake Falls; 10 grandchildren; sister Celaine (Ward) Votava; brother Severine Eugene (Willia) Prestegaard of Thief River Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Louis in 1985; son Delbert in 1993; foster brother Millard; one sister; and three brothers in infancy.
