Mae Schultz, 82

Thief River Falls - Mae Schultz, 82, formerly of St. Hilaire, died Thursday, November 23, 2000 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fosston with Father Gary LaMoine officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Hansville near Fosston. Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Service of Fosston was in charge of the arrangements.

Mae Vezina was born on March 20, 1918 in Fosston, the daughter of George and Mary (Louzon) Vezina. She was baptized in the Catholic faith at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Fosston and attended a Catholic school on White Earth Reservation.

On June 14, 1938, Mae was united in marriage to Herbert Schultz at Fosston. Mae worked as a seamstress at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls for 25 years until her retirement. She made her home at St. Hilaire until becoming a resident of the CNC Unit at Northwest Medical Center.

She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Mae is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Melford) Gregerson of Browerville, Ione Scott of St. Hilaire and Lori (Patrick) Zapzalka of St. Joseph; two sons, Ronald (Carol) Schultz Terrance Schultz, both of Proctor; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 15 siblings; and one great-grandson. A00003B2000NV29
