Christopher Scholin, 19

Thief River Falls - Christopher Scholin, 19, died Saturday, June 13, 1998 at Dakota Heartland Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19 at Our Saviour's Free Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Reverend Terry Olson officiating. Casket-bearers will be Aaron Culkins, Bobby Houle, Jeff Lacey, Josh Nelson, Chris Schiavo and Donald Roggenbuck. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at Green Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Christopher John Scholin was born September 20, 1978 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of John and Kandy (Nelson) Scholin. The family lived in East Grand Forks and Grand Forks, ND. In 1985 he moved to Thief River Falls where he attended school, receiving his G.E.D. He was presently working and hoped to attend Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls this fall.

Chris enjoyed being with other people, had many friends where ever he was and was always there for a friend.

Chris is survived by his father, John Scholin and his fiance, Laura Wienschrott of West Fargo, ND; his mother, Kandy Bratton of Thief River Falls; his stepfather, James Bratton of Grand Forks, ND; two sisters, Natasha Rae Scholin and Jessica Beth Scholin, both of West Fargo, ND; two brothers, James Carl Bratton of Thief River Falls and Brandon John Scholin of West Fargo, ND; his grandparents, Maurits and Beth Scholin of Thief River Falls, Oliver Andren of Webster, WI and Ruth Andren of Chisago City; special cousins, Robert Houle, Josh and Sarah Nelson, Jessica Flowers, Zach Pound and Jeff Lacey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Newman Nelson and Jean Landin; and great-grandparents, Inga and Johnny Johnson, Bert and Myrtle Thorstad and John and Clara Scholin.
