Clayton Schaller, 86

Greenbush - Clayton Schaller, 86, died Saturday, January 15, 2000 at the Roseau Area Hospital in Roseau.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 20 at United Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush with Rev. Ken Hart officiating. Casketbearers will be Gary, Ward and Allan Wilson, Patrick Farmer, and Roger, Ronald, Randy and Greg Dvergsten. Burial will be in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Greenbush.

Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. today (Wednesday, January 19) with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Gieseke Funeral Chapel in Greenbush. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Clayton Karl Schaller was born on June 11, 1913 in Hereim township of Roseau county, the son of Emil Karl and Katie (Ambacher) Schaller. He attended school at Greenbush and farmed west of Greenbush his entire life. On November 24, 1941 he married Louise Olof. She died on March 3, 1990.

He served on the Bethania and United Free Lutheran Church boards.

Survivors include one brother, Raymond (Elizabeth) Schaller of Greenbush; two sisters, Maybelle (William) Wilson of Greenbush and Florence (Gerald) Dvergsten of Greenbush; and several nieces and a nephew. A00003B2000JA19
