
Roseau - Anne Santl, 80, died Saturday, May 31, l997 at the Warroad Care Center in Warroad.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Salol with Reverend Frank Livingston officiating. Interment was held at the Falun Cemetery in Roseau. The Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau was in charge of the arrangements.
Anne Santl was born on April 15, 1917, the daughter of Anton and Augusta Willner at Hinsdale, IL. It was there she attended school and grew up. In l930, she moved to Roseau County. On June 21, 1933, she and Charles Santl were united in marriage at Roseau. They lived in Falun Township for a number of years before moving to Enstrom Township where they lived since. They both retired in l975 and enjoyed a winter home in Brownsville, TX. Charles died on May 14, 1991.
Anne enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and crafts.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley (Marvin) Koop of Thief River Falls; three sons, Robert (Geraldine) of Salol, Delbert (Marcella) of Roseau, and Kenneth and friend, Mary of Roseau; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Louise Stulier of East Moline, IL and Irene Watson of Conway, SC; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim, and one grandchild.
