
Plummer - Amy Lynn Rux, 17, died Monday, September 8, 1997 at her home in rural Plummer.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 1997 at Calvary Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire with Reverend Terri Skildum officiating. Debbie Holmgren was the organist. Duets were sung by Pastor Randy and Jerri Ryner. Penny Schindler sang a solo. Casketbearers were Roger Boutain, Randy Boutain, Russell Boutain, Rick Rux, Rick Boutain and Jon Kruse. Honorary casketbearers were all of Amy's friends, her family and her classmates from Pershing High School. Burial was at Community Cemetery, River Falls township of Pennington County. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Amy Lynn Rux was born July 24, 1980 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Robben and Karen (Boutain) Rux. She attended school through the second grade at Northrup Elementary School in Thief River Falls before moving to Plummer and attending school there. Amy was presently a senior at Pershing High School.
At school, she was active in chorus and was working in the school office. Amy loved all people, especially her family. She also enjoyed animals and took care of any animals around her.
Amy is survived by her mother, Karen Comstock and her husband, Dennis of Plummer; her father, Robben Rux of Duluth; one brother, Robby Rux of Plummer; two step brothers, Brent (Randi) Comstock of Thief River Falls and Chad Comstock of Rustin, LA; grandparents, Janet and Ray Boutain of Hankinson, ND and Elaine and Wayne Kruse of St. Hilaire; great-grandmothers, Evelyn Nelson of Red Lake Falls, Bernice Doyea of Crookston and Sadie Boutain of Thief River Falls; step grandparents, Delpha and Howard Comstock of Thief River Falls; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Laurel Hagge and Kyle Delage.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Russell Rux; great- grandfathers, Edwin Nelson, Elmer Doyea and Alex Boutain; great-grandmother, Agnes Rux; three cousins, Christy Boutain, Randy Currie and David Boutain; and one uncle, Randy Rux.
