
Kennedy - Florence V. Rude, 77, died Saturday, September 11, 1999 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 16 at 10 a.m. at Maria Lutheran Church in Kennedy with Rev. Carl Seamon officiating. Music will be provided by Leroy and Ruth Hoekstra. Casketbearers will be Charles Lysford, Melvyn Lysford, Willis Lilliquist, Greg Orsund, Charles Lindberg and Rick Peterson. Arrangements are with the Hughes Funeral Home of Hallock.
Florence V. Paetznick was born on March 10, 1922 at Gatzke, the daughter of William and Mary (Hall) Paetznick. She grew up and attended rural school in the Gatzke area.
On November 9, 1940, she married Everett Winger at Holt. They lived in East Grand Forks and Strathcona.
In 1970, Florence moved to Kennedy where she was employed as a cook at the Kiene Farm. On January 20, 1973, she married O'Niel Rude at Hallock. She was employed as the site manager of the Kennedy-Donaldson Senior Citizens Center and also worked with the Green Thumb program.
She was an active member of Maria Lutheran Church and its WELCA in Kennedy and was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Florence is survived by five sons, Charles (Ann) Winger of Drayton, ND, Mark (Lillian) Winger of Newfolden, Patrick (JoAnn) Winger and Rex Winger, both of Kennedy, and Tom (Patty) Winger of Douglas, WY; two daughters, Mari (Jason Thomson) Dalzell of Drayton, ND and Kristi Kostrzewski of Denver, CO; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Severts of Gatzke; two brothers, Lyle (Arlo) Paetznick of Middle River and Bill (Gladys) Paetznick of Blaine; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leslie; and her second husband, O'Niel Rude. 00003B1999SP15
