Roger Rondorf, 43

Red Lake Falls - Roger Rondorf, 43, died Monday, March 3, 1997 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston. Arrangements were with Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 7 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Rev. Galen Sylvester officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery near Thief River Falls.

Casketbearers were Joe DeHaan, Richard Chapman, Wally Rondorf, Ronald Rondorf, Jimmy Helgeson and Mike Dale.

Roger William Rondorf was born on June 12, 1953 in Thief River Falls, the son of Alvin and Mildred (Benston) Rondorf. Roger was baptized on July 26, 1953 at the Swedish Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was raised and attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from high school in 1971. He attended Northland College in Thief River Falls for one year and another year at Moorhead Technical. He went to work for Falls Equipment in Red Lake Falls in 1973 and worked there until 1980 when he went to work at Schwartz Farms. He was united in marriage to Joetta DeHaan at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls on March 20, 1976. In 1986 he began working at the Red River Distributing in Crookston as a shop foreman. He loved to ride his motorcycle.

He is survived by wife Joetta of Red Lake Falls; children Lee Rondorf and his fiance Jackie Anderson of Hutchinson, John and Adam both at home; parents Alvin and Mildred Rondorf of rural Thief River Falls; brother Ronald (Jodel) Rondorf of rural Thief River Falls; three nephews and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and one aunt.
