
Warren - Muriel Roley, 40, died Monday, August 11, 1997 at her home in Warren following a long illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 14 at 2:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Warren. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Muriel Maruska was born on February 4, 1957 at Warren, the daughter of Harveydale and Harriett (Olson) Maruska. She attended and graduated from Warren High School in 1975 and the University of North Dakota-School of Nursing in 1979. On December 18, 1976 she was united in marriage to Rick Roley. They made their home in Warren. From 1979 to 1988, Murial was director of the Marshall County Nursing Service. From 1988 to 1991, she was the health coordinator at the University of Minnesota-Crookston. In 1991, Muriel graduated from the Nurse Practitioner-Physician's Assistant Program at UND. In July of 1992, she went to work at the Family Medicine Center-Grand Forks Clinic as a nurse practitioner.
Muriel enjoyed raising her children with her husband, Rick, near grandparents and family. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Dirt Digers Garden Club and the GFWC-Warren Women's Club.
She is survived by her husband, Rick; two children, Austin and Aubrie, both at home; parents, Harveydale and Harriett Maruska of Warren; two sisters, Mary Beth (Richard) Edman of Warren and Joanne (Kenneth) Kostka of Plymouth; parents-in-law, Vernon and Shirley Roley of Warren; three sister-in-laws, Claudia (Mark) Thompson of Bismarck, ND, Becky (Tom) Bro of Stewartville and Kim (Justin) Myhre of Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.
Muriel was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mary Maruska and Hans and Helen Olson.
